SÖDERTÄLJE - Syrianska FC edged out IK Brage at Södertälje Fotbollsarena to seal their second place in Superettan, with Peter Ijeh scoring the game's only goal early in the second half. Melkemichel made a series of changes to the team that lost last week. Rabi Elia started in midfield. Isa Demir slotted in at right-back after returning from suspension, with Dinko Felic starting in midfield and Peter Ijeh in attack. Syrianska FC was rarely troubled by the guests and could have taken the lead with less than three minutes on the clock when Elia sent a 30-meter drive wide. The home side missed an another chance half an hour later when Saleh clipped straight at goal with a powerful shot but Andersson in the Brage goal prevented him from scoring. The Syriac (Aramaic) attacking midfielder Massi helped Peter Ijeh, to grabb Syrianska FCs winner three minutes after the break, when he sent a long cross that Ijeh headed home by beating Andersson in the goal. Syrianska FC could have won by a larger margin but IK Brage had Andersson to thank for saves from Ijeh and substitute Oyal, who had two clear chances after coming on. The Suryoye will meet Hammarby on October the 2nd. Syrianska FC - IK Brage 1-0 (HT: 0-0) Text: Emanuel Yacoub Photo: Richard Ström
