Örebro defeat struggling Syrianska

With Arneng, Massi, Kunic, Etie and Oyal ruled out of the Örebro trip, Melkemichel solved his midfield crisis with Saleh, Touma and Felic in support of solitary striker Ijeh, and Elia alongside Barsom in front of the defence.

There was hardly anything between the teams in the first half in which neither goalkeeper had a save to make, despite Asvalds's downwards cross bouncing up over the Syrianska bar. For Syrianska FC, Touma had the best chance outside the box but the shout just went wide.

In the 22 th minute Suleyman Suleyman got a tough tackle by Asvald whom almost was served free with Miller in the Syrianska goal. In the last second Suleyman came between and Örebro was instead rewarded a corner. Suleyman made an important clearance from the box. Unfortunately the tackle stopped him from continuing the game. Suleyman had to make way for Erkan Saglik. This was the Turkish player’s first competitive game for Syrianska FC.

Before the end of the first half Örebro had a free kick from 30 meters. The free kick was powerful by Gerzic but Barsom blocked the shot with his elbow. Gerzic was screaming for a penalty but none was rewarded.
Second half started better for Syrianska FC. The Suryoye grew in confidence. Barsom Touma and Elia all had shots but nobody could deflect it towards the goal and they ended up wide. In the 60th minute and middle of the Syrianska FC period of pressure a cross was sent from the left side. The ball landed close to Ahmed and despite being alone, to be sure, he sends the ball to the corner. Wowoa took the corner and tried to target Haddad with his corner kick but Elia got first to the ball but with a bad clearance the ball got to Bedoya and with a superb volley his shot sails straight to goal and past Miller. Örebro took the lead with 1-0. This came like a cold shower after the strong start to second half by Syrianska FC.

Syrianska FC was close to an equalizer when Saleh sends a cross to Dinko Felic. Felic headed the ball towards goal but the ball was saved by a Örebro player. The ball bounced back to Ijeh who also tried to head home but the ball went wide. At the same time a Örebro player hit Ijeh in the chest with his knee. Ijeh was down to the ground for a couple of minutes. Ijeh could not continue the game and was substituted to Semir Mette.

No further goals was made and Örebro won the game with 1-0. The positive from the game was that Syrianska FC played quite well and deserved to get at least one point but football is not about justice. Erkan Saglik made a great game and many Suryoye fans took the trip to Örebro to support their team. The negative was and still is that we have two more injuries.
