Syrianska FC 2-1 Degerfors IF

The goals came from Hagernäs and Felic as Syrianska FC followed up last weekend's 0-0 game at Degerfors IF with a 2-1 home victory over the same team.

It was plain sailing at Södertälje fotbollsarena with Hagernäs hitting the crossbar in the second minute. He eventually got his revenge when he grabbed the opener to make his first goal of the season. Degerfors equalised from the penalty spot and Dinko Felic hit the winner in the second half.

Melkemichel made one change to the side that held Degerfors IF last week. Isa Demir partnered Ahmed, Skenderovic and Suleyman in the defence instead of Rabi Elia as Syrianska FC started with a 4-3-2-1 formation. Barsom and Velic slotted into a holding midfield role, with Hagernäs at the tip of the diamond midfield and Massi and Zatara on the wings.

The early goal came on 18 minutes. Zatara floated in a deep cross from the right and Velic who was the main target jumped over the ball and it reached Hagernäs on the left side who sent a shot past Sebastian in the Degerfors goal.
Syrianska FC striker Dinko Felic was a solitary figure up front in the first half as his team-mates struggled to provide decent service, and the "Suryoye" found themselves limited to long-range efforts, the best of which fell to Zatara who sent a wide shot. The "Suryoye" should have been two-nil up.

Degerfors IF were handed a lifeline with time running out of the first half when Ante Ljunggren-Eriksson slotted home from the spot after Suleyman's foul. Afterwards TV pictures showed us that the foul was outside the penalty area and this was the second time this season we got a penalty against us which should have been a freekick.
I think this felt like the longest break ever, when a goal like this comes in the last seconds of the first half.
Syrianska FC started the second half perfectly. Just seconds into the second half Denis Velic picks out Dinko Felic in the box with a 20-meter cross, Sebastian in the Degerfors goal runs out to block the shot but Dinko makes no mistake and sends the ball straight into the net. The crowd felt like they got their revenge for the wrong penalty giving in the first half. At least I did.

Degerfors made three fast changes after the goal but Syrianska's domination continued and Zatara came close after his shot from the edge of the box floating outside the net. Syrianska FC had a further chance when Ijehs (newly brought in) 20-meter shot soared just wide.

As time went on Degerfors threw everything forward as they tried to get a second equaliser, but it was the Aramaic eagles that went closest to a late goal when Barsom sent a brilliant kick just wide of the post.
