Late goals defeat Syrianska

KALMAR - Daniel Mendes and Ricardo Santos scored late goals to give Kalmar the win over Syrianska FC in round 6.
The Kalmar striker Mendes scored in the 83rd minute, with the newly substitute Santos adding his team's second on the stroke of full time to leave the Suryoye stunned.

Melkemichel made no numerous changes for the Kalmar trip, but Arneng was back from injury and played his fist competitive game for Syrianska FC. Rabi Elia started in the bench against Kalmar FF.
Syrianska FC barely got a look-in during the first half as Kalmar dominated, pressing the Suryoye and creating openings when coming forward but missing the last finish.

Kalmar first chance came in the ninth minute when Henrik Rydström volley went straight at Miller in the Syrianska FC goal. In the 35 minute Daniel Mendes was served free and was all alone with Miller. Mendes took a step to the left and Miller followed him carefully before grabbing the ball with his right hand. At the same time Mendes fell and the referee blew the whistle for a penalty. After speaking to the forth assistant the referee changed his mind and took back the penalty. The Kalmar players went crazy and were suggesting that the assistant had seen the replay on the TV screen and corrected the mistake. In the end the decision to redraw the penalty was the justice one.
Ivan Ristic and David Durmaz kept it tight at the back with a series of well-timed interceptions before Barsom dragged wide a shot from an inviting position.

Kalmar did not start the second period as they ended the first, but it was Syrianska who took over the game but without coming to any really clear chances. Melkemichel made a tactical switch on 55 minutes, bringing on Nahir Oyal for Saleh after getting a yellow card. After another 15 minutes he brought out Dinko Felic for Rabi Elia. Dinko who fought hard all evening was substituted.

Syrianska FC suffered a set-back with seven minutes remaining when Bergstrands side took the lead, Johansson’s cross taking a slight deflection off the newly substituted Santos and ending up in front of Medes and his shot from close range went in the back of the net. Straight after the goal Touma forced the Kalmar keeper into a tipped save.
With time running out Santos added insult to injury in the final minute, firing a low deflected shot beyond Miller and into the far corner to end Syrianska FC dreams of an equalise.
