IFK Göteborg edge Syrianska in Södertälje

Södertälje - IFK Göteborg beat Syrianska FC 2-1 in Saturday evening's heated game at the Södertälje fotbollsarena and move six points clear of the Suryoye at the bottom of the Allsvenskan table.

Coach Melkemichel continued to play 4-2-3-1, with Dinko Felic as lonely striker as Peter Ijeh got his third yellow card against Elfsborg in the midweek. The Norwegian striker was supported by Sharbel Touma, Imad Zatara and Yussuf Saleh. Melkemichel played with two defensive midfilders; Rabi Elia and Alex Michel. The last one making his first game at start in Allsvenskan.

Both sides made an attacking start to the match, with Dwayne Miller making good saves from Hjalmar Jonsson and Michael Dyrestam, and Magnus Sandberg blocking a low first time effort from Perreira at the other end.
Syrianska FC were the team that tried to control the game. Without comeing to any dangerous chances. Instead it was Michael Dyrestam who headed past Miller after Hjalmar Jonsson sent a corner kick into the box. The clock showed 30 minutes at the display, and 1- 0 stod until the half time.

It was the same eleven that entered the pitch in the second half as the one that left in first. Two minutes into the second half Isa Demir saw his powerful shot hit the ouside of the right post. If the shot went just one decimeter to the left, it would probably be Isa Demirs best goal in his carrier.

The Syrianska equalise would come, and it took 10 minutes into the second half. Alex Michel had a shot at goal but the ball bounced back to Touma who easily could sent it into the net, behind Sandberg in the Göteborg goal. Syrianska FC pressured for a second goal and a victory but it was IFK who got the last word. Jakob Johansson sent a cross into the penalty box, the main target was Robin Söder, but he lowered his head and the ball went instead to his striking partner, Hannes Stiller who was standing all alone, who easily aim and send the ball past Miller in the Syrianska goal. IFK Göteborg took the lead and the air went off the Syrianska player who didn't have the mentality or the energy to strike back. Instead after three minutes off added time the referee blew his whisle and IFK got all three points this evening.
